About Tablow
Real-time translation for in-person conversations.
One person hosts from an iPhone. Everyone else follows the conversation in their own language from a web browser — live transcript, translation, and a running summary. No app install, no account, nothing to set up for guests.
How it works
Host creates a room
Open the Tablow iOS app, pick the conversation languages, and start a live room. The iPhone listens and translates as people speak.
Guests scan the QR
Guests scan the room QR code or type the 6-letter code at tablow.app. It opens in the browser — no install, no sign-up.
Everyone reads along
Each guest picks a display language and reads the live transcript, translations, and an AI summary that keeps up with the conversation.
Why Tablow
- Only the host installs anything. Guests join in seconds from any browser — great for groups where you can't ask everyone to download an app.
- Everyone reads their own language. Each guest chooses English, Korean, Japanese, or Chinese independently, on their own screen.
- No phone passing. Unlike turn-based translator apps, the conversation just flows — Tablow keeps up live.
- A summary that catches people up. Joined late or zoned out? The running AI summary shows what the conversation is about.
- Private by default. Audio is never stored, and transcripts auto-delete 7 days after the room ends.
Where people use it
Multilingual families
Family gatherings where grandparents, parents, and kids don't share one language — everyone follows the same conversation together.
International meetings
Small in-person meetings and visits with overseas partners, without hiring an interpreter or huddling around one phone.
Tours & events
Guides, hosts, and speakers share one QR code, and every visitor reads along in the language they're comfortable with.
Frequently asked questions
Do guests need to install an app?
No. Guests join from any modern browser at tablow.app by scanning the host's QR code or entering a 6-letter room code. No app install, no account, no sign-up — guest sessions are anonymous.
What languages does Tablow support?
English, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional). Each guest picks their own display language and reads the conversation in that language.
How much does Tablow cost?
The Tablow iOS app is free to download, and joining a room as a guest is always free. Hosting live translated rooms uses translation minutes; current plans and pricing are shown inside the app.
How do guests join a conversation?
The host shows a QR code or shares a 6-letter room code or invite link. Guests scan the QR or enter the code at tablow.app, choose a display language, and immediately see the live transcript, translations, and summary.
Do guests need to speak into their own phone?
No. The host's iPhone listens to the conversation and Tablow transcribes and translates everyone it hears. Guests simply read along on their own device in their own language.
Is the conversation stored?
Live audio is streamed for transcription only and is never stored on Tablow's servers. Transcripts and summaries are automatically deleted 7 days after the room ends by default; hosts can extend retention up to 365 days or delete room history earlier.
Does Tablow work for video calls or livestreams?
Tablow is designed for in-person conversations where people are in the same room. It transcribes any speech the host's iPhone can hear clearly, so nearby speakers or audio played out loud can work, but accuracy is best face to face.
