Tablow

Tablow for guesthouse hosts

Welcome guests in 60+ languages. Your iPhone does the interpreting.

Tablow is a live conversation translation app for hosts who meet travelers face to face. You speak normally; your guests scan a QR code and read what you say live in their own language, right in their browser. Check-in, house rules, breakfast chat, and local tips, all without a shared language.

More than a phrasebook check-in

Translation apps built for one-line phrases fall apart when a real conversation starts: a family asking about breakfast options, a guest explaining a late arrival, directions to a place that is not on the map. Passing one phone back and forth makes every exchange slow and awkward.

With Tablow, you host a live translation room at the front desk or the breakfast table. Guests join on their own phones in seconds and read a live transcript in their language while you simply talk. Several guests can be in the same room at once, each reading a different language.

How it works at your property

1

Start a room at check-in

Open the Tablow iOS app, pick the languages, and start a live room. Show the QR code at the front desk or put it on the table.

2

Guests scan and join

Travelers scan the QR with their camera and the room opens in their browser at tablow.app. No app download on hotel Wi-Fi, no account.

3

Talk like you normally do

Walk them through the house, answer questions, recommend places. Everyone reads live captions in the language they chose.

Where hosts use it

Check-in and house tour

House rules, Wi-Fi, checkout time: understood the first time, in the guest's own language.

Breakfast table conversations

The best part of a guesthouse stay is the conversation. Talk with a table of guests from three countries at once.

Local tips and real situations

Directions, restaurant tips, lost luggage, a pharmacy address. Handle real conversations, not phrasebook lines.

Why hosts use Tablow

  • Guests install nothing. Travelers are short on storage, data, and patience. They scan a QR code and the room opens in the browser they already have.
  • One room, many languages. A German couple and a Chinese family can follow the same conversation, each in their own language. 60+ languages supported.
  • You keep eye contact. No passing a phone back and forth. You talk, they read, the conversation flows.
  • A summary for late joiners. Guests who arrive mid-conversation see an AI summary of what has been said.
  • Private by default. Audio is never stored, and transcripts auto-delete 7 days after the room ends.

Frequently asked questions

Do my guests need to install an app?

No. Guests join from any modern browser at tablow.app by scanning your QR code or entering a 6-letter room code. No app install, no account, no sign-up, and guest sessions are anonymous.

Can several guests read in different languages at the same time?

Yes. Each guest picks their own display language independently on their own phone. Tablow supports 60+ languages for live conversation translation, including English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, German, Spanish, and French.

How much does it cost to host?

The Tablow iOS app is free to download, and joining as a guest is always free for your visitors. Hosting live translated rooms uses translation minutes; current plans and pricing are shown inside the app.

Do guests need to speak into their own phones?

No. Your iPhone listens to the conversation and Tablow transcribes and translates everyone it hears clearly. Guests simply read along on their own device, and their speech near your phone is translated for you too.

Is the conversation stored?

Live audio is streamed for transcription only and is never stored on Tablow's servers. Transcripts and summaries are automatically deleted 7 days after the room ends by default; hosts can delete them earlier.

Does it work in a noisy common room?

Tablow transcribes what your iPhone hears clearly. At a front desk or around a table it works well; in a loud room, keep the phone close to whoever is speaking.
